Silica (sol-gel) resin

Thanks to its high transparency, low auto-fluorescence, high mechanical and thermal stability, glass is the material of choice for the most advanced and sensitive applications in microfluidics. However, existing manufacturing technologies and their associated costs often limit the deployment of glass in microfluidics, especially when high-resolution nanostructures are needed. Our MOx-NIL nano-fabrication process enables the volume production of nanostructured glass microfluidics components.

Besides glass, we can tailor ad-hoc material properties providing ceramics  adapted to specific applications:combining them into complex, heterogeneous patterns on a single chip we further functionalize the surface of glass rendering hydrophobic, photocatalytic (self-cleaning), and with selective chemical affinity.
