revolutionnalising the fabrication of meta-optics

Direct nanoimprint lithography of optical grade metal oxyde materials

a unique technology combined with premium materials

Solnil is at the forefront of revolutionizing optical materials with our cutting-edge patented resins enabling the creation of materials with extreme refractive indices, ranging from 1.12 (AIR-COAT) to 2.6 (HiRI-COAT) in the visible spectrum.

Our versatile resins can be deposited as thin coatings using conventional liquid deposition methods, while also allowing the creation of metasurfaces when paired with our innovative etch-free nano-imprint lithography process.

Premium Materials for Exceptional Transparency obtained from SOLNIL’s resins

Solnil’s patented resins, originate from 25-years of deep research in sol-gel chemistry by Prof. D. Grosso, between the LCMCP in Paris and the CiNaM in Marseille. They were developed in order to create robust materials with extreme and tailored optical properties to meet end-user requirements.

HiRI-COAT

Ultra High-Index materials (2.4 < n < 2.6)

Obtained through a tight arrangement of inorganic crystalline building blocks (less than 10 nm) into a dense, porosity-free structure, offering superior transparency with optical loss and haze below 0.1% for RI < 2.4 and below 0.3% for 2.4 < RI < 2.6. HiRI-COAT is well-suited for nano-structuration by NIL and gap-filing by spin- or dip-coating.

AIR-COAT

Ultra Low-Index material (n = 1.12)

Produced through careful self-organization of nano-sized pores into a 3D inorganic network, ensuring unmatched clarity (<0.05% optical loss) and robustness. AIR-COAT is specifically useful as a cladding layer to encapsulate high-index metasurface elements.

OTHER MATERIALS

Transparent, or scattering or absorbing

Materials with on-demand optical properties (tailored refractive indices, highly scattering or absorbing) can be produced by seamlessly blending both low and high-index materials and combining them with other additives.
